During my trip to Zürich, I had the idea to make a tryptic symbol of peace for the 3 countries concerned by the history of Quentin, United States, France and Germany.

As soon as come back from Switzerland i went to Coulonges-Cohan the 6th august 2017 to see the right colors of the lands and the fields during summertime. This picture is a view of the area of Chamery from the road of Cierges to Chamery.

It was here that my father explained to his children, about fifty years earlier, the story of Quentin died on July 14th 1918, the National Day of France, it's a symbol to the French People.

The colors are soft, I must spare the area of plane.

The top of the canvas is blurred towards the horizon and the bottom is accurate with the topography of the place.

I wish colors without camouflage.

With light grey and blue colors, the neutral colors for the peace symbol. These colors make me think of the heroes of Stan Lee set in in drawing by Moebius: the Surfer Silver.

I finished the painting by a coat of varnish on March 26th, 2018. The work lasted one month.
